I really started to get attached to a few of the characters. There was little romance, but there was so much to discover about this world and the types of people. I had a bit of a hard time keeping track of all the characters and the different types of characters because there was so much going on. I didn't see the lists of characters until I finished the book.
If you like high fantasy with battles and bloodshed that doesn't focus on romance then this book might be for you.
I look forward to reading the next book to see where the adventure continues to.
